Gaslight News 30-MAY-2019

The Brea Gaslight Chorus, a group of guys dedicated to quality singing in the Barbershop Style, wishes to express our thanks to you, our loyal supporters and followers.  It is our intent to keep you updated on our performances, shows and competitions, as we chase our dreams, under the guidance of our directors Phil Ordaz and John Saylor.  Their high level coaching has allowed us to become first class entertainers, and show our audiences that we are so happy to perform for them.

On May 11th we competed in a local area Division contest, where we placed 2nd out of 13 choruses, and secured a spot at the larger area District contest, to be held in Sacramento in October.  Our District consists of choruses in California, Arizona, Nevada, Southern Utah and Hawaii.  What a great experience that will be!

One of our chapter quartets, HOPS, also competed at the Division contest, and qualified for the quartet competition at District level in October.

Our next show for the public will be on July 13th.  More updates will be provided as the date draws near.

We are always welcoming new singers!  Our style of music is special, and the harmonies we produce provide lasting memories for our audiences.  We rehearse every Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm  at the Heights Christian Schools La Mirada campus.  Come and see for yourself what a rewarding experience this can be!
